This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

One of my greatest gifts, I want to give to my scholars is the JOY of READING. I would like to express my gratitude to you for providing books for my scholars. Books will give my scholars the opportunity to see, dream, explore, learn, and grow.

Reading builds the foundation for memory, focus, empathy, vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills.

I will teach my scholars the three steps I do (modeling), we do (guided practice), and you do (independent practice). I will model how to read a book. Teach the scholars how to read from left to right. The last step scholars will read independently. Once again, I will love to thank you for sharing the joy of reading.
