My students need different center activities like instant learning centers and STEM Packs, to build on their reading level. They also need to feel comfortable during reading workshop. These items will help ensure that my students have the materials they need to succeed.
My students walk into the classroom each morning with a huge smile on their face and ready to learn. I have so many diverse learners, which makes for a fun learning community. My students work together to support one another and show genuine compassion for their classmates. My students are eager to learn and I want nothing more than to see them succeed. This is truly the most rewarding line of work and I am grateful for the students I get to impact.
Our school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.
As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the district every year. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college, and to become productive citizens who excel in our community.
My Project
These materials will ensure that my students have what they need to learn sight words, digraphs, and blends. These skills are crucial to 1st grade students who are learning the fundamentals of reading. Students also need to feel comfortable when reading. Pillows will ensure that when my students choose cozy spots, that they have a comfortable place to read!
When students come to school and have materials that make learning engaging and fun, they perform better and are more engaged in the lessons being taught.
Students enjoy working in an environment that is stimulating and geared to success. My mission is to make my classroom a fun, engaging, and safe place for all students to learn.
