This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Every student has had a unique experience during our pandemic school year. Engagement looked different for each and every student. I do not want to start another school year feeling like I need to "catch my students up" and I don't want them to feel that way either. At my school, ELA and Math teachers will be implementing focused daily interventions to ensure that we are meeting each and every student where they are....not where they "need" to be. My classes have a wide range of skills and I want to be fully equipped with as many resources as possible to meet their needs in a fun-filled creative way!
My reading interventions will be like a menu where each individual can pick and choose what their learning goals are and choose activities to reinforce those goals!
Teachers Pay Teachers is an awesome resource that I know will allow me to provide my students with what they need and help them to have ownership over their learning and to be able to enjoy it as they go!
