Teaching Middle School students how to Read and Write to learn using non fiction leveled readers is critical to their academic success.
This will be my second year in middle school and my teaching assignment will be working with at risk teenagers in language arts.
Many of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds. They are lacking many historical experiences that inspire their learning. Social studies is a hands-on experience for all learners. My philosophy is to inspire and empower my students through education and passion!
My Project
These book collections will allow my students to have a variety of choices for daily reading.
Middle schoolers are often reluctant readers and these book collections will empower my students to stay engaged!
I am writing this grant to obtain award winning fiction books that will increase student comprehension skills as well as improve critical thinking.
These book collections will be used to increase literary reading test scores and help my students increase their vocabulary.
I want my classroom to be an engaging diverse reading lab that will have my middle schoolers not wanting to leave!
Reading in Middle School is critical for individual success!
