I teacher senior English, and I am currently teaching 34 students in my class. Next semester, I will have over 60 seniors reading Hamlet. We are a county that is one to one using computers which is great, but it is vital to move them away from electronics and simply read. As an English teacher, I really like to put a book in my students hands and have the read aloud in class. Shakespeare is a great opportunity because students read the different parts, and we are able to break down the play as we read. They enjoy reading together and they collaborate in the classroom on their work
The students at West school, live in a rural area and over half of them are on free and reduced lunch.
So, I would like to make it possible to find ways to share with them with all the resources possible before they finish their senior year.
These books will continue to enhance the classroom that I want to create. My student enjoy reading Hamlet by William Shakespeare aloud. It is a great way for them to get involved and understand what they are reading. It would be an opportunity to move my students away from the computers and have them read from a book. We have so few opportunities to get away from the computers since are one-to-one in our school system, but I think this will help my students in their learning process. Thank you for your help with bringing these books into my classroom
