My Students

My students are a group of highly motivated and enthusiastic fifth graders. We LOVE to learn about new things and we take on each new challenge that comes our way with courage, persistence and creativity.

The neighborhood we come from does not always allow us to have the opportunities our same age peers enjoy.

We don't have safe parks or after school programs, and our school building is well over 100 years old. Still, we do the best we can with the limited resources we have.

We are the future leaders, doctors, lawyers and teachers of America. We know we have all of the potential in the world to succeed. We just need a little extra help.

My Project

Students in today's fast-paced and technologically advanced society need new and exciting ways to access literature.

We are about to begin reading a graphic novel as a class.

This has never been done before in our school and we are all very excited to have the opportunity to read in this new way.

Each student must have a copy of the book in front of them in order to make these lessons as effective as they can be. These books will be used in future years with future classes as well. Students are very excited to begin this project. Thanks!
