My Students

The Global Read Aloud uses one book to connect the world. More than 1,000,000 students have participated in the world and I'd love for my class to add to that number.

My classroom is filled with students who have a passion for learning.

I want my students to become lifelong readers who enjoy the journey and see reading as more than just a task. George Martin said, "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."

My Project

These books will allow my students to participate in the 2016 Global Read Aloud. We will be reading the same book as thousands of students around the world. My class will be able to collaborate with each other and use social media sites including Edmodo, Instagram, and Twitter to interact and communicate with other students across the world. This project will enhance their communication and critical thinking skills.

The Global Read Aloud project will enable my students to connect with readers across the globe.

It will be amazing to share this powerful book experience with students outside of our classroom walls and across the world.
