This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I'm a first year Special Education Teacher at a Title I School with students in grades 1st - 5th. My students are pulled out of their general class to come into my class for specialized small group instruction in both Math and ELA.
We are a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Magnet School).
We became Georgia's 51st STEM certified school in May of this year. We are the only school in our county with this specific designation. Our mission is to inspire our students to achieve unlimited potential. Your generous donation will ensure that we accomplish our mission.
My Project
Electronic readers are a great way to help my students learn to read as well as increase the time they want to read. Increased reading skills will ensure that my students are successful in all content areas.
My students all have special needs.
Electronic readers will help them get and stay excited about reading. The goal is to increase their abilities which will build confidence while fostering a love for reading to increase knowledge.
Students with special needs often have a difficult time sitting in conventional seats for extended periods of time. The bean bag chairs allows an alternative that is comfortable and exciting which makes learning to read FUN!
