My Students
My students are an eclectic bunch of curious, silly 7th graders who love learning and reading much more than they would ever admit. They lack is a steady source of reading materials which can capture their interest and hold it.
Reading, unfortunately, has not been a priority for most of my students and because of this, they are struggling to keep up with their contemporaries. The students who are thriving are still not quite where they could be. You can help!
My Project
My students are often reluctant to explore a book if they've not heard of it before or, worse, already seen the movie. I want to help expand their tastes for literature.
Reading is the cornerstone of all learning, and I want to make sure their foundation is solid! Your contributions will help me build an awesome classroom library from which students may browse and select titles that will help supplement and enhance the texts they are already reading for class.
By providing series selections, students can continue a journey and share the experience with their classmates! You will have done that!
