My Students

I teach 5th graders at a low socioeconomic area. Our school is 100% free lunch; however, with these struggles, I still want my students to feel successful in learning. My students struggle with reading and the motivation to read.

Even with all the obstacles against them, my students continue to work hard and are eager to learn everyday.

My students enjoy science and doing hands-on activities. I like to incorporate life experiences that they might not have outside of school.

My Project

The books I selected are the books that my students are interested in reading. By having these books, my students will be motivated to read more as well as helping them to develop a love for learning and reading. These selections of books will help to increase my students level of proficiency in English Language Arts.

Having a book that my students enjoy to read will promote an eagerness and a love for reading.

These books will take their minds off their struggles that they have to deal with on a daily basis at home. Reading for Success is our motto!
