This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project was made entirely by my students! We have been building a classroom library as many of my students don't read for pleasure. I have found as an educator this is crucial to their success as future college scholars. This is also beneficial to social-emotional health! My students will be spending at least thirty minutes a day, unplugging and reading a book of their choice!

This project goes towards building upon our classroom library. I had my students research books they are interested in so that we could all get involved in the reading circle. I believe this will help improve reading stamina, vocabulary and mental health!
