My Students

My second graders have never experienced a normal school year with the COVID pandemic. They enjoy reading and learning new things.

They love to support and help their classmates.

They are working hard to not only fill in missing gaps in their education but those of their classmates.

My Project

I will be using the headphones and microphones for my students to practice their reading fluency. They will read the book until they are comfortable. We will then use the microphone on the headset to record the reading. This recording will be linked to a QR code. The QR code will be placed in the book for the students to then listen to and answer some comprehension questions. This will benefit all students fluency by matching them to a book on their level. It will also open up literature to students at a lower level by making it available for them to listen to.
