My Students

We team teach special education reading class to over 40 high school students in this class. Our students have many challenges and are hardworking. They give their best every day as they learn and master reading skills. They ask questions to clarify and engage in many reading opportunities in our classroom.

Our students are appreciative of all shared reading resources that are available to them at our school. They are kind and are ready to be the best they can be.

My Project

The electronic reader and highlighter will be available to any student with special needs who is struggling with reading in our classroom. The students will be able to try these resources individually to become familiar with them and utilize them as needed.

Electronic readers and highlighters provide additional access to reading for struggling students.

With these resources, our students will continue developing reading skills and academic confidence. The benefits of reading are many and include mental stimulation, vocabulary expansion, improved focus and concentration. Struggling readers will be able to experience these benefits of reading with the additional classroom resources of portable electronic readers and highlighters!
