Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from homes that have very little; however, at times they don’t even realize it because their parents do the best they can to provide the necessities. There is always 1-2 students who miss the opportunity to have a deep connection with parents so I make the extra effort to understand and support them in whatever they need. These kids are hard working, positive, and goal-oriented, they deserve much more than what they have. I want to give them the best education I can possible give them, because at our school we truly believe education is their way out of poverty.
My Project
My students love to read but my classroom library is lacking. Please help me provide books for my students that they will enjoy. I chose to get series of books because once they read the first booked they'll be hooked and will want to read the next books. Students this age love to read book series because they love the characters in the stories. These books selected are choices my students preferred and wanted to read. They looked at all the books available and selected these series of books. They are looking forward to reading about all of these characters!
