Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The number one quality I love about my students is their inquiring minds. I am a facilitator in the class and their inquires help guide our lessons for the class. No matter how much I think I am prepared and believe that I have all possible questions answered, they come up with new ones. I constantly let my students know that I do not know everything and the questions that I do not have answers for, both of us will look for an answer together.
I love that they "love" coming to my class and put their trust in me to teach them what they need to be successful.
My students come to me from different ethical backgrounds but all are equally bi-literate and bilingual. Their perseverance shows through their continuing dedication in learning the second language they have been exposed to since Kindergarten. My students are not perfect but their qualities that they bring to the class are positive and make our learning true and exciting!
My Project
Technology is a very useful tool, but our students also need to have the experience of reading a book they can hold and actually feel. Virtual lessons have increased because of the pandemic, the chapter books would give the opportunity for the students to use real books and take a break from virtual learning. The chapter book will be assigned to each student to be used in class and at home as well.

which is a book that allows students to build comprehension, and to practice the Spanish language. This book involves science topics and it's a series that kids enjoy reading which is a bonus.
