Help me give my students reading materials about the visual arts! With these new books and magazines, scholars will be able to strengthen English and language arts skills while also studying historic artists.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Art offers skills that students will use for the duration of their educational career.
Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist- the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up".
At our school we accomplish Picasso's lofty goal by enabling our scholars to be problem solvers and divergent thinkers. With these skill sets, our scholars can become life-long artists and learners.
My scholars face a number of challenges in their lives throughout their school year, though they still demonstrate perseverance. As an art teacher, I service every student in the building, ranging from preschool to eighth grade. Regardless of their age, my young artists continuously prove their drive to strengthen their own abilities. With state of the art materials, I am confident they will continue to grow!

Our districts current focus is on strengthening each young learners literacy skills in every subject area.
These are life long skills that we hope to develop with each student, and it is that much easier when the reading materials are fun and current! Please help me bring these education resources to my classes.
