My Students

I have a great group of second graders from Kankakee who would love to visit the world around them. We take many online field trips and use our classroom books to discover ways to travel. They are energetic and love to research things like mountains and oceans. Right now we are wondering how big trucks work. My class has many active boys and we use many online activities to figure out how to build things. We then build them. Future Engineers!

This makes for a very active class which means we tend to get messy, loud and have a bunch of fun.

They are always so proud when they accomplish something amazing!

My Project

We are a second grade class that struggles with our reading. We use an app called Seesaw to record ourselves reading daily and then they listen to it back. This helps them become stronger readers. I have one pair of headphones with a microphone and they do so much better when they have one. Please help them become better and stronger readers.

When they can watch themselves read and hear their own mistakes, they are more invested in their progress and success.

They also start to show their personalities. They become the book as well as try to become the teacher. Amazing!
