Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love my school! We are in one of the most diverse zip codes in the country! I currently have nine different languages in one classroom! They have taught me so much this year!
At times teaching in my school district can be quite challenging.
We host refugees from all over the world, many being the first generation in their family to be fluent in English, chasing the American Dream of a good education. Our school is a sanctuary for them where all are welcome and always learning!
My Project
Reading is essential and effects us for the rest of our lives.
I loved to educate my students not by just putting a book in front of them, but creating a fun and memorable experience!
Help me create a fun-filled week for my students where we practice ALL of our reading skills as we prepare for our state test. I need cards to practice Main Idea, Author's Purpose, Figuratuve Language, and Inferencing as well as cubes with comprehension questions so students can independently practice.
I want to bring to life author's purpose use PIE'ED having students dressed with bakers hats and aprons as we practice these skills as well as competeing with Hasbro's Pie Face Showdown to liven up the room.
