This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn. They are given the opportunity to work in small groups and cooperative settings as well as whole group. The learners are from low-income households. They are English language learners, students who receive modifications and accommodations, dyslexia, and speech services.

My learners are enthusiastic about learning and great citizens.

They are always looking at helping each other and making the best lasting connections that help grow their experiences. They are the most amazing group of students I know.

My Project

Reading is a gift that lasts a lifetime. My students will have the opportunity to live an exciting life through the magic of books. Second grade students will be able to choose from a diverse library with your donation. The books are of different reading levels and genres which will provide all students the experience of adventures, laughs, and much joy. The books will also serve as mentor texts for reading and writing opportunities to grow and learn from. Authors model great writing and provide ideas for students. Students will be able to learn and grow from these books. There is no greater gift that lasts a lifetime than reading.
