This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are Investigators! I want to provide my students with exciting experiences across all content areas.

I am the blessed teacher of 23 bright, inquisitive first graders.

They never cease to amaze me with their fearless attitude when it comes to learning new things. Our school is located in a low-socioeconomic area. Although our school district does everything it can to provide as many resources as possible for our students, often the resources I would like to provide for my students are simply unavailable.

My Project

We are in need of a one year class subscription to Reading Eggs. This interactive reading program is designed to help children from grades K-2 to develop and enhance reading skills. I can also monitor the progress of each student and design lessons to help meet each student where they are. This resource will not only help increase reading fluency, but it will also build comprehension skills. We will use this program during our literacy centers everyday. My students can also use this at their home so they can keep reaching for their goals. Reading Eggs is a great program that keeps my students engaged.
