My Project
In our English and Creative Writing classroom, I plan to implement an in-house library for students to indulge in during down-time. My students, a group of fiery, excited young readers who are looking for a place to call their literary home away from home, are very excited about the prospect of housing it! My Creative Writing students especially are interested in studying the fine works of popular authors, new and old, in order to fine-hone their writing craft in the classroom. In order to improve literacy, I plan to implement a designated reading period during my English 2 class.
"Everyone loves to read, but most people just haven't found WHAT they love to read just yet."
My students said it best! In this class, we can ensure that all students get a chance to grow their love for reading in a safe, comfortable environment. We really do want this to succeed and hope that you can help out in any way possible. Thank you!
