Help me give my students a high-interest novel about a girl who stood up and fought for her right to an education.

Our school is proud to have a racially and economically diverse student body. Our students engage in personalized learning so no student is ever left behind and every student can be pushed to reach their fullest potential. At our school, we replace boring lectures with engaging projects and controlling adults with personal coaches who teach students how to manage their own schedule, behavior, and work habits. We know that children learn through practice, so students practice navigating the choices of the real world within a safe, structured school environment.
Our students are self-aware freethinkers who are working to become leaders of their own selves and their communities.
They are curious about the world around them and ask thought-provoking questions. They are bright, hard-working, and deserve the absolute best education experience.
"I am Malala" is a fantastic young adult novel about a girl who fought for her rights. Malala Yousafzai grew up in Pakistan where she describes deep oppression of women and girls. She describes how withholding an education from them was the harshest weapon. Malala decided to fight back and stand up for her rights and the rights of others. Malala is an inspiration to anyone who has ever had a dream, and anyone who has ever been faced with seemingly impossible odds. She is a person everyone should look up to. Through her powerful diction, she shows how you are never too young to make a difference. This book is a must read for all the believers out there who dream of changing the world. This novel will make a difference in our students' learning by arming them with the confidence and voice to stand up against injustices. Malala will empower them to make a difference in the world.
