My Students

My students have special needs with mild mental disabilities. I see my students for Math and Language Arts - 2 hours a day. They are all below grade level and need very individualized curriculum. They are sweet and cope well to mask their disabilities, but their ability levels are significantly delayed.

Since they are battling mild mental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and working memory issues, my students benefit from visual aids to help give a concrete understanding.

My students are the sweetest, most loving kids who try their hardest despite their setbacks. They are so excited about each new toy I introduce into my classroom. It truly motivates them to work harder.

My Project

These materials will give a visual aid to my students and interesting content that will keep their attention during difficult instruction. The ability to write on the actual stories with dry erase marker will give my students tactile involvement in their learning as well.

This kit allows my middle school students to read books closer to their level (elementary), while still satisfying grade level skills/standards required by state and district testing.

These students deserve to learn with content they can understand and find interesting!
