My Students

Help me open up the world of beauty for children with an engaging set of books.

I have a wonderful group of 2nd graders who love to learn!

They are inquisitive and engaged in learning. Our school teaches kindergarten through 5th grade. We are one of two elementary schools in our district. We are actively involved in Common Core standards.

My Project

My students need a listening center and books on CD to develop and strengthen their foundation for reading. I am asking for an iPad to extend their learning throughout each subsequent level. They will be comparing and contrasting different genres of books on both the iPad and at the Listening Center. They will then meet to discuss their observations.

Reading is the basis for all educational development.

In the primary grades we are teaching them to read for information and to identify setting, problems/solutions, make predictions and other strategies which carry through their entire educational careers! Please support this important project.
