Help me give my students the ability to expand their individual reading abilities by providing a calming space for these kids to read at the end of the day.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Mathematics plays a role in our lives each and every day. My students should be given the option to approach learning in a way that works best for them. Differentiation is a key concept to creating an ideal classroom and as a first year teacher in an Urban school district, I want to provide each student with the opportunity to be a part of a safe and calming space.
My 8th grade students deserve to prepare for high school and higher education through differentiated math lessons.
I am the only 8th grade math teacher at my K-8 school and want these students to be able to explore math, leadership, and their own personal journeys as they end their middle school career. I want my classroom to be welcoming, safe, and encourage students to work hard each day.
My students WILL be ready for graduation at the end of the year, and these supplies will help us to reach these goals.
My Project
My students deserve a place to read and relax at the end of the day. As a first year teacher, I want to be able to organize a place in my classroom for reading. The bean bag chairs and rug will allow for students to be in an area that is different from their usual classroom space.
Reading individually allows for students to work on analyzing and understanding books that spark their own interest.
It is an important part of their day and I want to make it even more of a calming time by providing them with a comfortable area.
