This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting several different character stuffed animals that students can use during independent reading time. Stuffed animal characters like Pete the Cat, Clifford, Fly Guy, Stellaluna, Dogman, and Harry Potter will help bring the story to life for the students and let them practice reading to their "reading buddy'.

Allowing time for independent reading is so important for allowing students to practice the skills and strategies they are learning in their reading blocks and this is a fun way to motivate them and encourage them to practice reading aloud!
