This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Though I have not met my students because the school year has not yet begun, I am already in love with each of them. I know that each one of my students were placed into my classroom for a reason, and I cannot wait to meet each one of them. My goal is for them to see how much I love reading in hopes that they fall in love with it as well. I love to read and want all my students to have smiles on their faces when they have a book in their hand.

My Project

I am a new Kindergarten teacher and this is my dream job. I have cried many times tears of joy thanking God for this amazing opportunity. My favorite thing to do is read to kids. I love making children laugh and smile through reading. Not only are the children enjoying the book but they are learning reading strategies. Many children today are scared of reading or have no interest in reading and I want to change that. I want to empower my students through reading and have each student ready to read and learn throughout their years of schooling. I am excited to bring the love of reading to my classroom!
