Reading Books and a Shelf to House Them!

Help me give my students engaging books to read to help with their reading skills and fluency, a bookshelf to house these books, and Scholastic Action Magazines to develop more reading comprehension.

My Students

I teach middle school resource students that struggle with reading and writing. They have a desire to improve these skills and work hard in class each day. They enjoy independent reading with books of their choice that are engaging and fun.

My Project

Having more engaging books to read will greatly help my students with more choices in reading. We work daily on fluency and comprehension goals in my resource class. Providing more varieties of genres and books will help them greatly. The Scholastic Magazine is such a great tool to use with comprehension and discussions as well. The bookshelf is needed to house my growing class library. Having a class set of How They Croaked will help with reading and using nonfiction texts. These resources will be such a great asset to our classroom.
