My students need 25 copies of The Julian Chapter, the continuation of our favorite book Wonder.

My students enter my classroom every day ready to learn and eager to improve skills in all their subject areas. The children have a basic routine that they follow every morning and start the day by saying good morning to me and re-reading their precept. A rule to follow to make the day better!
It is so exciting and nice to see when my students faces light up because we will be reading a chapter book, instead of parts of stories from a textbook or test prep material.
My students attend an elementary school, where they are the oldest in the school. I teach 22 sixth graders that have a wide range of reading skills.
My students love to read and enjoy when we work in literature circles. We just finished reading the amazing book Wonder by RJ Palacio. This book teaches children how to respect each other and to have compassion for others even if they are different than we are. I am asking for a class set of the continuation of Wonder, The Julian Chapter. I was not even aware that there was a second book until one of my students came in the other day and shared this important information. My students had gone home and researched all about the main character, August Pullman and through their research found that there is another book from a completely different perspective of the bully in Wonder.
Please support my project for my class!
It is amazing to see and hear what children have to say after reading real, authentic literature. After our practice state assessment, I gave my students a choice to either watch a movie or read the rest of a new chapter book that we are reading. Guess what they chose? That is right-the book!
