To be successful readers my students need to continue to practice the skills we learn at school when they get home! Often my students do not get the practice they need each night.
My students often don't have the materials at home they need to continue to practice being successful readers.
This year I'd like to have my students bring supplies back and forth from home to reinforce what we are practicing in class. Many times my students' families aren't sure how to help their child with reading. These materials will make it simple for the families to help their students at home. With so many furlough days our students really need to continue to practice at home more than ever!
My Project
My students need materials to practice important reading skills at home! I'm requesting Read with Me comprehension and fluency practice for students to practice reading at home with their parents. The organization station will help keep our materials organized in class and allow me to easily trade materials for each student. The folders will protect the materials traveling back and forth.
We have more and more furlough days being imposed and our students continue to lose valuable instruction time.
