My Project

Because my students are in the dual language Chinese Immersion program, I am responsible for teaching them 100% of the Language Arts curriculum standards, but with only half of the classtime to do so (compared to my "English only" peers). This past school year, I noticed that it was hard to find activities that truly gave us a "bang for your buck" with Language Arts and it felt like we were constantly just skimming the surface due to time constraints.

I would like to purchase a supplemental program on Teachers Pay Teachers that aligns with and enhances our McGraw Hill Wonders reading program.

I have found a program that contains highly engaging activities that incorporates comprehension, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, cursive handwriting, and student choice activities in a way that will promote more involvement and critical higher level thinking without having to cut things out due to time.

I also would like to have a new electric pencil sharpener for my students. The one we currently have in our classroom does not sharpen well and it extremely loud which is very distracting while students are trying to work.
