Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in grades PK-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.
I teach at a Title I school in Southern California where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
One challenge is providing supplemental reading and writing manipulatives and games that match our common core standards which will allow for practice in a fun and exciting way!
My students are eager to learn and do their best. It's my mission for each and every one of them to enjoy coming to school.
My Project
We are looking for Language Arts materials and games that are aligned with common core standards.
My students truly enjoy reading and writing and I'm excited to give them several options such as Instant word building centers, fishing for sight words, simple word builders, sight word practice cards, self checking magnet boards, sight word games, link together sentence blocks, and sentence frames are all great ways to help us practice and reinforce
these State standards when practicing these skills in the classroom during our daily workshop time.
My students will certainly enjoy utilizing these LAKESHORE LEARNING materials to show off their skills. Please consider donating to this project. Thank You!
