Help me give my students a document camera for modeling, math and literacy games and practice books and activities, math manipulatives, high-quality curriculum resources through Teachers Pay Teachers, and pencil boxes to keep their supplies organized.
My students come from a low to mid socioeconomic background, but are full of life. Many face huge personal challenges, but come to school putting their best foot forward. They are always excited to learn and always do their best. Our school is has a great school environment. It is a safe place for all, and students and teachers work together to make it a good place. However, like many schools, we lack the funds necessary to provide extra supplies.
My Project
The document camera will be used to model various activities for the class and to share student work. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will be used to purchase high-quality math spiral review activities. The 180 days of reading, writing, and math books will also be used to keep the students practicing every day. The pencil boxes will help my students take responsibility for their supplies and keep their areas clean.
My students will use the building fluency card bank and digital timers to practice reading as part of our literacy centers.
This will help them become more confident readers. We will use the teaching clock and division regrouping kit and flash cards to practice division as a whole group and in small groups. We will use the math bingo games, vocabulary file folder games and multiplication tower game as review and reward activities.
