My students are a group of 5th graders who are leaders in our school and eager to learn. We are creating a classroom where collaboration and creativity are key. My students come from a diverse background and all ability levels.

My Project
I am requesting class sets of two novels to teach my students about diversity and kindness. These sets of books will allow us to read and talk together about topics that are essential to pre-teens today. As a class, we will read together and explore these themes in book talks, small group discussions, and classroom presentations.
I want to create a dynamic classroom environment filled with rich literature and an inviting atmosphere for my students to thrive.
In addition to the books, I am also requesting paper, markers, post-its, and materials for students to make our classroom their own! I want to make our classroom a place where kindness is celebrated and creativity thrives!
