My students need a carpet for our morning meeting and reading area.

My students are five soon to be six-year-olds who love learning. They are eager to learn. They love to play. They love reading books and using technology and outdoor activities to help them learn.
My students love school.
For many of them, it's where they come to feel safe, feel love, and to learn. Part of my responsibility is to provide a nurturing and rich environment that allows them to grow, inquire, learn, and question the world around them. At the same time, provide them with love and push them to be the best they can be. They often rise to meet and exceed my expectations when the right materials and tools are at their fingertips.
Oh, the places they can go!
In our Kindergarten classroom, lots of learning and discussion take place in the meeting area. Many memorable moments and rigorous learning occur in the meeting area. More often than not, our mornings will begin on the carpet. It’s where we meet to discuss classroom issues, read fascinating books, and reflect on our day. It’s also a place where students know they can go if they need some time to concentrate and work independently. The Getting Ready to Read Activity Carpet in this project will afford us a comfy, soft place to meet and greet each other. We will have a place in our classroom where children can go to stretch out and read a good book. My students would also love to learn alphabets, shapes, colors, and numbers using this colorful carpet. My students can use the carpet to play alphabet and number games independently or in small groups.
