Amazing! That word describes the students who walk through my door every day. I teach a creative group of first grade students. My students are inquisitive and like to question why. They are full of energy and give one hundred percent to everything they do. These children have big hopes and dreams, and I try to bring our curriculum to life with hands-on, innovative activities.
When you take a peek in my classroom door, you will see eager faces, ready to learn.
You will see students who enjoy sharing laughter with their peers, putting their problem-solving skills to use with STEAM activities, creating artwork, and playing with their friends. I want my students to know the sky is the limit and that they should reach for the stars.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of books to add to our classroom library. In my class we have many students who celebrate the Lunar New Year. Books like The Great Race and The Runaway Wok will provide us with stories to learn more about this celebration. I am also requesting books to read aloud through out the year that we can tie to art projects. Charlotte and the Rock will inspire our own pet rocks, One Tiny Turtle will talk about ocean life. Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn will get us ready to head back to school and to settle into new routines.
I am excited to bring these resources to my students!
