This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Just imagine having no reading resources at your home. Having all kinds of resources at school will bring a smile to your face during reading time.
My students attend a high poverty, low income primary school.
My students love to learn and rarely miss a day of school. School is the safe place for all my students and the place they come to learn. Many of the parents of my students do not even have a high school diploma. So, being at school is the best thing that is happening in their life. My students are excited to be at school everyday and love to learn new things!
My Project
The resources I am requesting will provide a different group of reading materials for my students during the reading workshop time. I have different books, workstation games, Time for Kids magazine, and center making books that will improve reading skills for all students.
These different resources I am requesting will provide assistance to me when planning the different activities for my students.
I am requesting Time for Kids magazine, books, reading games, workstation activities, the Tag Reading system, and a few educational books to help me prepare for the centers. These different activities will provide differentiated activities for all students to learn. My students will be so excited with the new activities!
