My Students
This project will benefit a variety of students to include general education students, ESL students, special education students, and gifted and talented students. Our school is well diversified and our classroom should be the same. I want to stand out from the crowd.
This will be our third year open but officially the first year as a school by ourselves.
My students are excited about being at a new school, and I want the best possible education for them. Having a classroom with lots of options makes students more eager to learn. Your donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
My Project
Students will be encouraged to read short articles about interesting topics and help them with their reading fluency. My students always get so excited when a new Scholastic magazine gets delivered. They are eager to read them cover to cover. It is formative reading to them, and many of the articles cover current events. The magazines allow them to learn about new and exciting things, and they are able to collaborate with each other. They are able to debate and write about a range of topics to include narrative, opinion, and persuasive articles. The magazines help create a love for reading and form life-long readers.
