it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello all! My name is Cricelia Ruiz and I teach special education inclusion in grades kinder- fifth. Most, if not all of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. My students are seriously amazing and move mountains daily!
In my classroom, we often celebrate growth, face challenges, and work hard every day.
We strive for inclusiveness and work together solving problems that arise.
In an inclusive setting, students have access to the general education curriculum through receiving differentiated instruction to their specific needs.
My Project
Students in my classroom will be able to expand upon their imagination and creativity with access to these books. These books will allow my students to have access to books that are high interest, but leveled to their needs. Other books will be available to use as a read aloud during sessions.
My goal is to instill confidence in my students' reading abilities, along with improving their view on reading.
The vocabulary learned through exploring these books will vastly improve their communication skills among their same age peers. I'm eager to present my students with these books to begin their reading adventures!
