My students need iPads to help with reading and comprehension skills. iPad's will allow my students to be comfortable testing in a technology-based world.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In my classroom we are a family. We learn through hard work and fun. My 2nd and 3rd graders learn reading, writing, and comprehension skills. My students are creative and innovative. On any given day they are reading and questioning! Their favorite way to learn is through centers. Students get to participate in hands on learning through fun and tactile methods! We use magnetic letters, markers, or keyboards to spell spelling words and work on phonics. They are capable of teamwork, leadership, and academic growth. I love how determined and motivated they are no matter what resources are avaliable. My students are the future!
My Project
iPads will enhance our ability to read and write in the classroom. We are in a fast-paced, 21st century world. This will engaged students and allow for more students with different needs to participate daily. Without iPads, we are unfortunately limited to two computers per 25 students. This gives an opportunity for every student to excel without time restraints. iPads are a comfortable and fun learning choice for most students. They allow for individual learning to happen. In turn, they build confidence when they succeed. I know my students are capable, especially when the appropriate resources are available. We will appreciate all help!
