Readers to the Rescue!
My students need a laptop for enhancing reading mini lessons and writing in a small exceptional student group setting working with the new online reading series.
A typical day in my reading class consists of working with students in centers to enhance reading and writing skills. I enjoy working in small groups to focus on specific individual needs of each of my students. I would like to see my students score higher on the SAT test and be fluent readers.
My students are learning disabled and have difficulty staying on task due to ADHD.
They are eager learners and put forth much effort. They are very motivated to become fluent readers and good writers. My students are a mix of boys and girls in a second grade inclusive setting.
I have requested a laptop for enhancing reading mini lessons and writing in a small exceptional student group setting working with the new online reading series. My students will be able to take part in mini grammar, fluency, and comprehension mini lessons in my guided small group center. They will be able to access helpful websites like Storyline, which models fluency as well as BrainPop to access vocabulary words and writing prompts. I will also be able to do interactive lessons utilizing the new reading series online.
My students are very visual learners.
The use of technology will enhance their preferred method of learning which is visual representation of material. They are hands-on learners that benefit from a variety of presenting material. This laptop will allow me to present my students with everything that will meet their learning needs.
