My Project

My students are special because they are multilingual learners who are representative of a very diverse community here in our town. I work with them on becoming proficient speakers, listeners, readers and writers. While some have made great growth over the years, many continue to struggle to read on grade level. I frequently make and laminate materials for them to use in our classroom and at home, to help accelerate their learning. Some of the items in this project (laminating paper and card stock) will be used to help me to continue to create resources for my students as they learn to become better readers and spellers. Some materials, like the take-home pouches, will allow students to safely take their work home to practice. The magnetic letters, sandpaper letters and trays will allow us to create a work space in which students can practice building and reading words. Finally, the rest of the items will help me to keep some of our classroom materials and data more organized.
