We are a special group here at our school. Our students are some of the sweetest and most hard working children, despite their circumstances. The majority of our students are low income and we are a Title I school in the heart of Beaufort, SC. The teachers at our school are committed to our students and the third grade team is the best I have ever worked with.

My Project
This library will enhance the lives of all of the students in the third grade at our school. It is essential for children to have the opportunity to have books available to them in the classroom. This library will assist me in providing ample "mentor texts" to teach specific reading skills in a whole group. It will also give students the opportunity to always be able to have a book in hand.
Therefore, this project has a double purpose.
It allows me to use the books to actually teach the children and it gives the children access to more books than they could ever imagine right there at their fingertips.
