My students have always been very hands on inquisitive children. They have so much spirit and drive to be the best they can be. Teaching fifth and now this year fourth with the intent to loop up with the same students next year, I always connect with my students as our class always shares the winning spirit (particularly in reading and AR).
All students learn in different unique ways.
My students are very much very diverse in every way and it would be awesome to try to reach more of their learning styles!
My Project
My students don't ALL love reading, so to entice all the various interests of my students these books would check that box! Motivating students to read old out of date chapter books just doesn't always work.
From the I-Survived series which focuses on realistic fiction to our Harry Potter series and Dork Diaries - students can dive into a chapter book which interests them.
Being able to read chapter books - especially series of books, students are building their literacy skills while also enjoying what they are actually reading. These books will appeal to z variety of reading levels along with interests levels.
