Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students are in need of books that capture their interest.
My students come from various backgrounds and are from low income families. The school is a public school that does have a library, but I would love to have more books in Spanish to help my students improve their literacy. My students need books in order to find their passion in reading.
My Project
My students will discover a passion for reading with the books. My students will enjoy reading books especially in Spanish and develop a better understanding for the Spanish language. We would be able to have silent reading and every student will have books to choose from.
My classroom project is very important because it will develop literacy skills and help students develop a love for reading. The students will realize that by reading they can develop vivid picture in their minds.
