Help me give my students these noise cancelling headphones with attached microphone so they can work effectively in a reading program that will fill in each individual's gaps in reading proficiency.
The students I am requesting funds for are in my Basic ELA classes. These are students who are at least two grade levels behind in their reading ability. Most of them are reading between a second and fourth grade level but are currently in 7th grade. Approximately half of these students have been identified as having a learning disability and have an IEP (Individual Education Plan.)
These are students for whatever reason have struggled to read and I am trying to fill in the gaps and make a difference while I have them.
My Project
Currently we have cheap headphones that crackle and only work part of the time. Some of the computers' microphone jacks are not tight enough and this is why I picked these Vtin Headsets with Microphones that also have a USB adapter. We are in need of headphones with a microphone and noise cancelling because the fabulous program I found has speaking components to help ALL of my students and meet their individual needs.
The headphones I picked out were the most economical I could find while still meeting the needs of my students and the quality to last us a while.
Each student will have their own headset specifically designated for them and be kept in plastic bags.
