My Students

My students are very avid readers! It is very rare to see them not reading a book before class and during any free time in class after assignments are completed.

My students are always asking to go to the library for a new book and are excited to talk about what they are reading and what they want to read next.

My Project

Our class is trying to accomplish the goal of building a classroom library of both popular teen and young adult books as well as other culturally popular books to read. Binders, page protectors, and tabs will be used to organize book checkout sheets, book club sign-ups, as well as student book recommendation forms.

My students have a wide variety of interests when it comes to reading and I am excited to encourage them by allowing them to request specific books to add to the book collection in my classroom that may not be in the school library.

The books we are requesting can be used cross-curricular with our Social Studies department classes as well.
