This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Readers are leaders" is a quote the students in my class take to heart. My students need your help to fill up their classroom library with a diverse collection of texts to help them further enhance their love for reading.
My 16 third grade students are talented, passionate, and caring.
They all attend a Title 1 school that provides them with the best tools to help make them life-long learners. Many of my students do not even have a book they can call their own. They face many challenges each and every day of their lives.
My Project
The following request for books will add to my growing classroom library. I like for my students to have a variety of books to read that will strike their fancy! I believe reading is the foundation in helping students achieve their goals. It is important that my students have a variety of texts readily available for their use. With these books, my students will be able to read for enjoyment, take Accelerated Reader quizzes, and continue to grow their passion for reading.
Your donations will not only help my current students continue to fall in love with reading, but my future students as well.
Can you remember your favorite book as a child? I want my students to have many books they will recall as their favorite when they grow up. Please help support my "reader leaders!"
