I teach an amazing group of 4th and 5th-grade students. My students are creative, artistic, and kindhearted. Their love and interest in reading have blossomed and I just couldn't be happier!
Our school is considered a Leadership School and my students have definitely taken on leadership roles at our school.
On a weekly basis, my students visit their younger peers and read to them.
I've found that one of the best ways to build a community is through shared reading experiences. Shared reading is something that my students and I look forward to every day.
This year will be my fourth year teaching students with special needs. Throughout the past 4 years, I have arranged my classroom in a manner that fits the needs of all my students. This includes purchasing flexible seating options such as bean bags, flexible seating furniture, and rugs.
We currently need to replace a few items such as bean bags and a new rug for our reading area.
Many of these items were purchased during my first year of teaching and are no longer usable. Please join me in providing my students with a welcoming environment where they can grow as readers.
