This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The Early Childhood Program provides children ages three to five with a comprehensive, full day educational program designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of the individual child and family. The Early Childhood Program offers a learning environment that is safe, welcoming and enriching students' individual differences and needs.
"Oh the Things You Can Build." There are 20 energetic, enthusiastic students who look forward to coming to school daily to interact with peers, participate in learning activities, as well as activities that encourage them to explore and expand their imagination during free choice time.
My Project
I have a diverse group of students in my preschool classroom. We are discussing families as a unit and how families help and care for one another. The books are an additional resource students can use to help reinforce the discussion on families.
The students and families will be able to use these books in our read at home program.
The program allows parents to borrow books to read to their children at home and complete a book report on the story. This program is designed to reinforce language and literacy skills in children and to provide a fun activity for parent and child.
